An inspired design
These boots have been inspired by fashion trends from Japan: The toe is round and upward. This opulent shape is well known to Maison Malinge because it has existed since wooden clogs. These are historic models. Using this ancient shape, we have willingly wanted to be in the ‘Avant Guard’.
Well thought out
The Jabotine boots are tighter at the top to allow being worn with trousers over them. These shoes were made using a “Norwegian” seam to connect the upper to the sole. This was an aesthetic choice as well as to contribute to the waterproofness of the shoe. The hooks at the top allow for easy lacing.
Know-how
Like all our shoes, the Jabotine boots were entirely made in our workshop, in France. Their design requires a high knowledge of ancestral machines and sewing techniques. The Norwegian assembly technique is rarely done today by French shoemakers.
